I think the hardest part of ballet is getting that fine balance between strength how to dance ballet and flexibility. These two forces are actually counter to each other. You never see a strong person that is flexible and you never see a flexible person that is strong. As a ballet dancer you need to find that happy medium that allows you to get the good of both sides. You have to bend your body on beginning ballet specific ways to get the right effect, but you also have to have the power to achieve them.
