Designers today seem to have heavily borrowed from the trends in the past. Long leather gloves are a good example in this regard. These gloves appear to have been quite popular around the 17th century. Long leather gloves were also worn by celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn during the 50s.
